Sports Injuries & Post-Rehab Course

One of the major factors that can limit one’s ability to conduct movement which negatively affects people’s quality of life is musculoskeletal injuries. In the following course we will tackle some of the most common injuries occurring at several body joints identifying each one’s diagnostic criteria, treatment options, along with nutritional and exercise recommendations in order to design exercise programs that helps, alongside with the allied health-care professionals, alleviate and manage musculoskeletal injuries and improve people’s quality of life.

  • Osteoporosis and Osteopenia

  • Musculoskeletal injuries of the lower extremity:

    • Trochanteric bursitis

    • Iliotibial band friction syndrome

    • Hip osteoarthritis

    • Total hip replacement 

    • Patellofemoral pain syndrome (PFPS)

    • Meniscal injuries

    • Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries

    • Total knee replacement

    • Shin splints

    • Ankle sprains

    • Achilles’ tendinopathy

    • Plantar fasciitis

  • Musculoskeletal injuries of the upper extremity:

    • Acromioclavicular Joint Pathology

    • Anterior shoulder instability

    • Posterior shoulder instability

    • Shoulder impingement syndrome 

    • Lateral epicondylitis

    • Medial epicondylitis

    • Carpal tunnel syndrome

    • De Quervain’s tenosynovitis

    • Low-back pain

Course Requirements

Upon successful completion of the theoretical exam, learners will receive:

Sports Injuries certification from Inspire Fitness Academy recognized by IFA for 40 CECs, REPS UAE for the Advanced Exercise Specialist category (16 CPD Points), approved by ACE for 4.0 CECs

Upon successful completion of both advanced courses:  Special Population in addition to Sports Injuries and Post-Rehab, you will receive:

  • Exercise for Health Specialist certification from Inspire Academy approved by ACSM (CEC approved provider)

  • Exercise for Health Specialist certification from EREPS (optional) – Learner must have a valid Personal Trainer certification equivalent to Europe-Active level 4

  • Listing of your name on the EREPS website (optional) – Learner must have a valid Personal Trainer certification equivalent to Europe-Active level 4

  • Later-on you can purchase the ACE Medical Exercise Specialist exam to receive:

  • Medical Exercise Specialist certification from ACE – American Council on Exercise (upon successful completion of the exam)

  • Listing of your name on USREPS website (upon successful completion of the exam)
